I’m eager to see if DBK goes after anyone in the portal. I’m specifically eyeing the setter position. It’s clear she trusts Glock, and Glock ran a solid offense, but I feel that’s the biggest pain point for the team right now. Luper might have struggled in the elite 8 but was undoubtedly a bright spot for the team throughout the season.

The reality is, louisville simply will not be able to win a national championship with Glock running the show. Ever since 2021, thats what this program is trying to chase now. She seems like a great teammate and is a solid D1 player, but she is also the weakest starter on the team by a pretty good margin imo. Im not even sure if they'll be able to reach a final four next year with Glock setting. she sets the middle and bic pretty well but makes our OHs jobs much harder than they need to be by not being able to set a consistent ball to the left pin, not very deceptive at all and non existent as a blocker and offensive threat, also not a very good floor defender. one thing ive always thought was glocks strong suit was her decision making. she actually has a pretty high IQ and spreads the ball around in a tactical and smart way, but the execution just isn't there on the sets themselves. She and cabello will both be on scholarship for 2024 so im not sure if DBK will burn another scholarship on a setter if they even have one to give |

2019: Elite 8 , upset #2 overall in Austin
2020: Sweet 16, lost a big 5th set lead in loss to Washington
2021: Final 4, lost in 5 to National Champion Wisconsin
2022: Final 2, lost to National Champion Texas
2023: Elite 8, lost in 5 to Pitt (tbd)
Aiko certainly got to experience the full breakout of Louisville, that's for sure!

I think the players definitely on full scholarships are : luper, pk, debeer, glock, cresse, robbins, cabello, utterback, petersen, Scott that makes 10... other possibilities for the final 2 are schrand, Bankston, and Sherman. Bankston and schrand could easily be on a two year deal that doesnt start until their junior season. I would guess Sherman is on scholarship by now so I guess I'll say 11 total. dbk hasn't gone into a season without a scholarship open for a transfer since she's been at Louisville, im sure she's got something up her sleeve |

Does anyone have any good info on Cabello? Is there a possibility she gets to start over Glock?
Both teams in the 2023 championship match are running 5-1’s off of freshman setters.
Obviously the portal is still an option (allegedly DBK asked Logan Case to come play for us after the WMU match and she said no) but I wonder if Cabello could be our starter?
