Tonight seems like a fantastic night for our regional hosting chances. Stanford upset by Miami, Texas upset by Missouri, and Wisconsin losing to Nebraska like we did. Our RPI is currently at 1, we played the toughest schedule, we have direct wins over Creighton, Stanford, and Wisconsin, and we have no bad losses rn - our only losses so far are to the current #’s 1, 2, and 3, and only one of those losses was at home. I think we end up in the top 4 in most/all of the committee’s criteria. Just gotta finish strong in the rest of ACC play - that last week vs Pitt then at Stanford is brutal. I personally think Louisville will end up in the top 3. 1. Big feeling they upset Pitt at home later this month 2. Penn State i see them taking a loss soon unlees Stanford gets the revenge bit i don’t think that costs us the top 4 seed we”ll probably end up being 4 if that happens Like you said the top 4 might be locked for us

I hope to watch the replay of the recent match with Pitt soon. Lets go Cards!

Unfortunately for us, after Texas’s third consecutive loss to an unranked opponent, there’s a very real chance they end up as a sweet 16 matchup for one of the top 4 seeds. Personally, I’d like them to be at 15 or 16 so that Nebraska or Pitt has to deal with that. Really hoping we don’t see them at #13 and us at #4. That would be a nightmare third round matchup

I’d rather face them than any of those teams in the third round. Texas isn’t that intimidating compared to those teams. I trust this Louisville team more. Texas is not that scary idk how people still find them to be yes they’re good but creighton or wisconsin in our regional will be insane You might not think Louisville’s a Final Four team, but they’ve improved a lot. Right now if both teams go head to head I think Louisville beats Texas LIGHT WORK, and they’ll be super motivated to beat them this time, i mean flashbacks to December 2022.

It wouldn’t be good for us because that’s not a team anyone wants to see in the sweet 16. Yes they’re not playing great this season…. They also weren’t playing that great last season lol. They still have some really elite volleyball players and I would much rather see a team like Kentucky, GT, Oregon etc than Texas in the third round. The teams you listed that are more “intimidating” are currently not potential sweet 16 matchups for a top 4 seed, so those comparisons are irrelevant I never said I didn’t think Louisville was a final four team so not sure how to address that part of ur message lol

Which i think the teams i listed can take out Texas before they get to us and in my opinion Texas is still not as intimidating yes they had a bad season last year but its 10x worse this year. So no i don't find it that unfortunate. I am more scared to see Oregon or ASU or Purdue more which are the likely #3 seeds along with Texas. Oregon looks too good compared to Texas like way better. At the end of the day i want Louisville to be ready for whoever it turns out to be cause seedings are starting to look unpredictable. As long as Louisville is ready for whoever, it doesn't matter. I mean if they are not ready for whoever gets thrown in their bracket then no they are not final 4 team material

So no i don't find it that unfortunate. I am more scared to see Oregon or ASU or Purdue more which are the likely #3 seeds along with Texas. I didn’t say I didn’t think they were final 4 material, I said most teams would probably rather play Louisville than Nebraska, Pitt, Creighton, Penn state because Louisville has shown a lower floor at times and has been susceptible some major passing breakdowns (vs psu and neb). Also not sure if you’re aware, but I’m one of the oldest and most active Louisville fans on the site and have been publicly supporting them long before their 2021 breakout season. We want the same the same things. To your point about Texas having to go through those teams to get us… that’s still not correct. If Texas were the 13 seed and we were the 4, we would meet them in the round of 16. The other round of 16 matchup in our region would theoretically be between the #5 and #12 team - which could be the mix of Creighton / Stanford / Wisconsin / smu / Purdue / Kansas that you’re referring to. So those teams would not see Texas before we would if that’s how the seeding falls. If a team is ranked in the top 16, they will not play another ranked seed until at least the third round.

I encourage y'all to watch Jordyn Gray recent highlight video, WE ARE GETTING A DAMN GOOD ONE AND SHE'S STILL A JUNIOR! Between Anna DeBeer and Jordyn Gray i wonder who has the fastest arm cause it very close. So glad DBK saw the vision in her. Also glad she chose Louisville and not Pitt lol i also heard she got like 50 D1 offers and She's very athletic, i wonder if she's gonna join Ryan Hunter (husker commit) at Triangle saw that they're best friends and play at the same high school, I think she used to play opposite but moved to the left pin because Ryan is injured that first swing was insane like a CANON

Oh so she's an early graduate, not shocking because i always expected her to start as a freshman before Landfair came into the picture, Nebraska is stacked with pins but Hunter is built different, curious to see how it will be after her injury

Hunter is not an OH, she’s a lefty oppo. Gray wouldn’t have switched to the left to fill in for Hunter bc Hunter was never a left side. Dont think Hunter and landfair will have any effect on eachother playing time since they’re not the same position

I know Sigler is an OH but Hunter is just all around amazing. But both are great. Nebraska is snatching all the offensive power lately. But i'm happy and satisfied with Jordyn she's awesome and underrated and lately has been getting more recognition ever since her commitment to Louisville. Recently attended the main USANTDP program in the summer happy for her
