Well looks like we are in the top 3 now after PSU's loss to Wisconsin
BUT I AM TIRED of being in the same bracket as Pitt...
If Nebraska keeps up what they have been doing, we could possibly be seeing Pitt in the final 4 and Wisconsin could also be in our bracket

They both signed today, anticipating Kenny and Blackshear not sure who but I remeber hearing at least one of our 2025 commits is coming early in January which is great. I think it’s one of the middles, makun or blackshear. Would be nice to both of them along with meester get there early, I’m not sure if I see any immediate court time for kenny in 2025

If we get a Libero in the portal then it’ll be between them and Schrand for the L jersey. In this scenario I think Kenny redshirts (DBK loves redshirting DS/L’s lol). If no transfer comes in then I think Kenny may push Schrand for the lib spot.

IMO all of them are equal maybe except Urban unfortunately cause her passing skills are not good.. HOPE DBK heads to the Portal, i do have faith in Kamden's OOS and defense but Kenny was/is a setter so she could outplay Kam in that area and she's super scrappy. Honestly gonna expect the unexpected cause its possible we could get a transfer and that transfer can still get outplayed unless its a big name we know of. Overall it will all come down to the passing, all the girls are great defensively, all of them but its not enough

Just read the write up on our 2025 class, Apparently Blackshear plays right side as well, i wonder if she will transition at some point in her career. It has me wondering why DBK has not recruited an actual Right side hitter since Aiko Jones. She's flipped positions with Reese and now Alanna, and we don't have any true opposite hitters in our 25/26 classes
I know Gray plays opposite but its not her primary position
Mind you Blackshear is also 6'5

Jones was an OH / setter before coming to Louisville. Kipp, beason, Phillips, fitzmorris, smrek, Robinson, etc were not right sides before college. The options for elite true right sides out of highschool are just very limited which is why so many coaches recruit players they believe fit the mold and then develop them from there. There’s just not a lot of Rutherford’s or babcocks coming out of highschool. Maybe 1 or 2 per year Mainly due to the way American volleyball and the ncaa game are, most tall mobile athletes are put at outside or in the middle unless they’re left handed. Not ALWAYS, but most often that’s the case.

The Best class? might be i can't imagine Lville without them In terms of the class that most advanced the program, I might put 2020/2021. 2020 was supposed to be Tori, Stevie, Alexis Hamilton, and Piper Roe, though Tori and Stevie, of course, extended to 2021 thanks to the addition of the Covid year, but 2019 was the year we beat Texas in the Sweet 16 in Gregory, and they were all a part of that. I really feel like that one match really was a monumental shift in the trajectory of the program. The only person that graduated in 2019 was Melanie McHenry, and she was sidelined with her ACL halfway through the season so it really was that 2020-became-2021 class, that really drove that. (Not to take anything away from McHenry, she did great things in the program)
